Itinerary:

The forecast is for the rains to be over in time for us to get out this morning to shake off the water from the rainy Easter afternoon.  The trails will likely be wet, but we should stay dry.  We'll keep a moderately brisk pace, stopping from time to time for water and a picture.

This is not a hike for beginners.  Vickery Creek has a lot of elevation change, requiring a degree of fitness to be able to keep up with the group.  If you've done several D2 hikes and find them easy, then come along and challenge yourself.

We will start on time (10 am)! Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to check in and do intros. There is a bathroom at this location, so allow an extra 5 minutes to use the facility before we start.

We are meeting at the Roswell Mill entrance to the Vickery Creek trailhead, just off S. Atlanta Road in Roswell.  There is no parking fee at this location.  Detailed directions are below.

*** There is a J. Christopher's Restaurant within walking distance of our parking lot - - on Atlanta Street.  If folks would like to stay for lunch, that is an option.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

There are a lot of ways to get to the Roswell Mill. It's at 120 and S. Atlanta Road in Roswell. Use either the physical address below or the lat/lon coordinates to get your own directions. We are meeting behind all of the shops at the Roswell Mill Center. Just keep driving down the road till you get to the big parking lot at the very bottom of the long hill.

Roswell Mill trailhead is where Hwy 9 (S. Atlanta St) and Hwy 120 (Marietta Hwy) intersect. There's a popular restaurant called Chaplin's in that shopping center. When you turn in to the shopping center (from either direction) you will be on Mill St. - Mill St dead ends in to Mill St. (you read it right) and you take a right on to Mill St which will dead end at the parking lot.
