"NATIONAL LEARN TO ROW DAY" in a NUTSHELL: Thanks to the Atlanta Rowing Club for inviting us to take part in this excellent free annual event. "NLTR Day" is an opportunity for members of the general public to get an idea of what rowing is all about and to learn the basics of this exciting sport. Our special thanks to Tory, who is active in both the ARC and the AOC, for arranging our AOC participation and for making it possible for us to "crew" together! SIGN UP beginning on APR 10th for our AOC "INFORMAL INTEREST LIST" by clicking, etc. at the base of this article. Individual formal registrations begin on Sat Apr 13th on AtlantaRow.org. (See more below. You must do this yourself and I'll email you a reminder.) By registering for their 1:30 PM time slot and arriving by 1:15 you can participate as a member of an AOC "crew." Each crew will have an experienced Atlanta Rowing Club instructor plus six assigned rowers (a.k.a. "oarsmen & oarswomen"). IMPORTANT! ON APRIL 13 or ASAP thereafter you must REGISTER YOURSELF INDIVIDUALLY on the AtlantaRow.org WEBSITE! Each AOC member who wishes to participate in this year's "NLTR Day" must personally fill out the Rowing Club's online form. As mentioned above please register for the 1:30 PM time slot - otherwise you'll be crewing with random people from the general public. Click on the following link (as early as 12:01 AM on April 13th) to access the Rowing Club's NLTR registration webpage: http://www.AtlantaRow.org/view/national-ltr- day.aspx MORE NLTR DETAILS from the ATLANTA ROWING CLUB WEBSITE: We invite you to experience the joy of rowing! On NLTR Day we'll open our doors to non-members and you can get an idea of what rowing is all about in just 2 or 3 hours. If you'd like to participate you must register online individually (via the above-linked AtlantaRow.org NLTR-Day webpage).
