Itinerary:

Back by popular demand (Suzanne W.!), we are celebrating Cinco de Mayo with 5 hikes!  Join us on one of them, two of them, or even all of them, if you like!  Wear a sombrero, and get into the spirit of the day!  We'll take a break between hikes 3 and 4 to have a Mexican lunch at Tijuana Joe's on Roswell Road (Sandy Springs). Lunch will take place around 2 pm.  Join us!

Our second Cinco de Mayo hike will be a fast one at one of our favorite trails - - Vickery Creek. We'll hike for two hours, covering most of the trails inside the unit. This hike is NOT one for beginners or for folks who can't keep up a fast pace over rocky, root-laden terrain.

We will start on time (10:30 am), so please arrive a 10 minutes early to check in and do introductions. There is a bathroom at this location, so allow an extra 10 minutes to use the facility before we start.

We are meeting at the Roswell Mill entrance to the Vickery Creek trailhead, just off S. Atlanta Road in Roswell.  There is no parking fee at this location.  Detailed directions are below.

For folks who want to do a pleasant, leg-relaxing hike following this one, join us for the third hike of the day at Big Trees Preserve at 1 pm.  We'll be going to lunch after this hike at Tijuana Joe's to have a Cinco de Mayo lunch celebration!  Lunch will be at 2 pm, for those who can make it!

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Roswell Mill is at 120 and S. Atlanta Road in Roswell. Use either the physical address below or the lat/lon coordinates to get your own directions. We are meeting behind all of the shops at the Roswell Mill Center. Just keep driving down the road till you get to the big parking lot at the very bottom of the long hill.

Roswell Mill is where Hwy 9 (S. Atlanta St) and Hwy 120 (Marietta Hwy) intersect. There's a popular restaurant called Chaplin's in that shopping center. When you turn in to the shopping center (from either direction or from Hwy 120)) you will be on Mill St.  Stay on Mill Street (it winds around), all the way down to the bottom of the hill.
