Itinerary:

Hi kids. This will be my first solo hike as a new trip leader, so play nice. I decided to do Kennesaw because hey, at least we won’t get lost. Maybe. Let's meet  at the Visitor’s Center for check in and intros. The hike start time is 7:30 a.m., so please arrive a few minutes early. Then it’s up and over, up and over, up and over, etc. We will head to the top of Kennesaw Mountain, then across Little Kennesaw Mountain to Pigeon Hill and down to Burnt Hickory Road, coming back the same way. If you haven’t done this before, it’s a fairly strenuous hike with plenty of elevation changes, rocks, and wonderful views of Atlanta. This will be a hike at your own pace event and I will be sweeping in the back to ensure that everyone makes it back to the Visitor’s Center. So if you haven’t done this one, come try it, but keep in mind it is a D4 so you should at least have lots of D3 experience.  This is not a beginner’s hike.

Follow this link for a park map, directions , and other info about the park:
