Itinerary:

 

Enjoy an early crisp morning sunrise trail run starting and finishing at Cochran Shoals, next to the river.  This 6 AM event is an out & back trail run to Paper Mill with plenty of ups & down hills.  This trail run is meant to be fun and enjoyable,  so don't worry about falling behind, moving ahead, or running the entire distance. Once we get to Sope Creek parking lot, we will get a drink and refill water bottles from the water fountain, and then head back to Cochran Shoals.

There are no expectations here.  If you fall behind it is no big deal because we turn around at Sope Creek parking lot and go back the same way we came.


Required Items to Bring:

Good trail running shoes

Running gear appropriate for trail and weather conditions

Water bottle/hydration pack

Recommended Items to Bring:

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From eastbound Interstate 285 Take exit 22, Northside Drive, New Northside Drive, Powers Ferry Road. Go to second traffic light and go left onto New Northside Drive. Use “through” lane to pick up Interstate North Parkway. Unit will be immediately on the right after crossing the Chattahoochee. From westbound Interstate 285 Take exit 22, Northside Drive, New Northside Drive, Powers Ferry Road. Right on New Northside Drive. Use “through” lane to pick up Interstate North Parkway. Unit will be immediately on the right after crossing the Chattahoochee.


Notes:

There is a $3 parking fee payable by cash or check at the parking lot unless you already have a season pass.
