Itinerary:

It's time to revisit the Paces Mill Unit of the CNRA parks!  Also known as West Palisades, this trail offers some challenging hills, scenic woods, and beautiful views of the Chattahoochee.    We'll take this hike at a fairly brisk pace, though.  If you haven't been to this area, I'm sure you'll love the river views and glimpses of East Palisades across the Chattahoochee.

Three members can bring dogs - - so if three members have already indicated that they will be bringing pets, please do not add yours.  Please be considerate of other folks and keep your dog on leash.  It's the law!

There's a $3 parking fee at this location.  Be sure to have the correct amount in cash to purchase a parking tag.  (Failure to do so is a $75 fine!)

Please arrive at least 5 - 10  minutes before the hike is scheduled to start to check in, pay for parking (if you don't have an annual pass), and use the restroom. We will leave on time - - 10:30 am!

From northbound Interstate 75
- Take Exit 256 - Mt. Paran Road NW.
- Turn Left at Mt. Paran Road NW, go 0.1 mile.
- Turn right at US 41/Northside Parkway NW. go 1 mile park entrance is on your right.

From southbound Interstate 75
- Take exit 258 - Cumberland Boulevard.
- Turn right at Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.3 miles.
- Turn left at US 41 S/GA 3 S/Cobb Parkway SE, go 0.6 miles park entrance is on your left.

From eastbound Interstate 285
- Take exit 20 - Interstate 75 S, go 0.8 miles.
- Keep left at fork to Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.4 miles.
- Turn right at Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.3 miles.
- Turn left at US 41 S/GA 3 S/Cobb Parkway SE, go 0.6 miles park entrance is on your left.

From westbound Interstate 285
- Take exit 20 - Interstate 75 S/US 41/Cumberland Boulevard
- Keep left at fork to Interstate 75 S/Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.6 miles.
- Keep left at fork to Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.4 miles.
- Turn right at Cumberland Boulevard, go 0.3 miles.
- Turn left at US 41 S/GA 3 S/Cobb Parkway SE, go 0.6 miles park entrance is on your left.

Remember to bring $3.00 cash for a parking permit!

For folks who have been to this unit long ago, this is a new entrance to West Palisades - - across the street from the former entrance.   Look for the Paces Mill sign!
