Itinerary:

Please join me for a hike at the Gold Branch unit of the Chattahoochee National Recreation area.   We will be hiking the outer loop with beautiful views of the river and Bull Sluice Lake.   We will walk along the shore and back up into the woods hiking just under 5 miles at a moderate D2 pace.

Please be on time as we will be leaving promptly at 10 a.m. 

There are no bathrooms at this location.  Please be sure to bring $3 cash for parking unless you have an annual parking pass.  

The park is easy to pass right by so slow down when approaching the park.  More detailed instructions below.

Dogs are allowed but in accordance with park rules, they must be on a leash at all times.

Gold Branch is on Lower Roswell Road between Johnson Ferry Road and Wileo Road.  The park entrance is between residential subdivisions and is easy to miss if you are not watching for it.  The sign is just a green street sign that says Gold Branch Drive. 

If you are coming from Johnson Ferry Road it is on the right about 2 miles from Johnson Ferry. 

If you are coming from Wileo, it is also a couple of miles but will be on your left. 

If you are following Azalea Drive turn left onto Wileo but be aware that Wileo becomes Lower Roswell Road when it does a 90 degree left turn in the roundabout.   The park is 2 miles further down Lower Roswell on your left.
