Itinerary:

PLEASE READ ALL - CAREFULLY

Come join us for a cool ride on a hot day!

Tubes, Kayaks and Paddleboards are all welcome!

We'll meet at Powers Island (read directions carefully below).

We'll shuttle a few vehicles to Paces Mill for our return.

We'll stop along the Hooch at the jumping rock to watch (and optionally participate) in the hilarious spectacle that sometimes cannot be described...

Our journey will border East Palisades on the left and West Palisades on the right.  Many of you have hiked along these trails.

We'll be on the river for 3-4 hours.

We ARE NOT PROVIDING tubes or PFDs - The NOC has an outpost at Powers Island: $25 rents a tube, a PFD, and a shuttle ride back to your car.

WE DO HAVE 5 EXTRA tubes and PFDs - FIRST COME FIRST SERVED - AFTER YOU SIGN UP - TEXT WYNN TO RESERVE ONE OF THESE.  

WE ALSO HAVE a 2-person kayak if you have a buddy that wants to kayak with you.  TEXT WYNN TO RESERVE THIS AS WELL.


Required Items to Bring:

Sunscreen, hat, swimsuit (no nudist on the Hooch - officially anyway...)

Tube or other 'ride' for the water

PFD (life jacket)- must be with you (not neccessarily worn) at all times on the river.  There is a LARGE fine if you ignore this.

Towels and trash bags for wet stuff.

Water to cool you off - don't drink from the Hooch

You should look at Google maps to be familiar with where Powers Island is (click the map link above AND ZOOM IN).  This address can be very confusing in GPS systems.  Please take a look so you don't have to call us to guide you by phone.  It's right beside I-285 near Powers Ferry Rd.
