What a successful hike we had with our eager group of new AOC members at Vickery Creek this morning. We went at a pace to enable friendly conversation, and that we had. The dam was at high flow and the mountain laurels were in full bloom - - showing off for our enjoyment. John, Ann, and I are looking forward to soon seeing every one of these folks on upcoming hikes with the club.  Welcome to all of you who joined us!  ~ Joyce
