Oh, what a scorcher! Though the temperature was just in the high 80's, the recent rains made hiking in the humidity close to insufferable. But the group was up to the challenge - - even Bob, our new member on the hike! We were treated to a little box turtle digging a hole to lay her eggs by the trail, and we were given permission to hike farther down Roberts Drive past the log cabin house to see where the trail actually ends.
