We were so lucky with the weather today! We made it through both folktales sessions without rain - - in fact the afternoon session was downright hot and sunny! Charlie even had out his umbrella for sun protection rather than dryness. 

Jonah McDonald's tales were entertaining for both us adults and the children who attended. We walked through a forested trail at Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area and across part of the quarry, stopping several times to listen to a story. Jonah also pointed out some unique trees along the trail. His evening session featured a demonstation of fire starting plus tales around a campfire. 

The event was unique and enjoyable for our AOC group of twenty!  ~  Joyce
