Sunday hike, Appalachian Trail from Nantahala River (NOC area) to Stecoah Gap NC was a 13.6 miles hike with 4500 feet elevation gain, majority of the elevation was hiked in first 7 miles which made it pretty challenging hike. The rain was off and on but the last 3 miles of the hike was pouring down consistently.
