The highlight of today's hike was Jose's spotting of a mother duck with her ducklings basking in the morning sun. How adorable! The hike itself was really tough with the high heat and humidity, but the group did a great job of getting through it. We had a large group (11) who topped off the morning with lunch at the North River Tavern. . . our reward for meeting the challenge. ~ Joyce
