Even though we had a heavy downpour last night and some moisture continued into the morning, the rain stopped in time for our Tuesday morning hike at Leita Thompson Park.  Eleven hikers enjoyed the cool temps and the vibrant colors of the woods only found after a nice sprinkling.  What a wonderful way to spend the last day of summer.  It was especially nice to have a new hiker join us, brand new to the AOC.  Welcome Byron Tucker! We had a lively talkative group. Everyone completed the four mile course and four went on for more.  We ended up with 5.9 miles in 2 hours and 10 minutes. Thank you all for coming out. I always enjoy the camaraderie this group brings.
