We had twenty solid hikers for this unseasonably warm day in mid-December in which we covered just under six miles. The group in the back of the pack spotted two large deer that might have escaped unnoticed except for a well behaved hiking dog that simply just kept looking their way.  This is such a beautiful hike and with such good company that supports both physical and mental health.  It's not often you find such positive influences in our world.  Thank you Joyce for providing this reoccurring event for us to come to and be a part of each week as we have all year long.  If I had a list like Oprah, this would be on it as one of my favorite things for 2015.   ~Trish
