What a spectacular afternoon for a hike with perfect temperatures. We covered 6.4 miles on and off trail around Stone Mountain. Many of us learned new trails to explore more. We hiked through the train depot by the tracks, the quarry museum and a very quick trip through the village before the parade came through. We had to take a couple shortcuts to make it to Sweet Potato Cafe, where 11 of us enjoyed great food and music. A special welcome to our 2 newest AOC members Karla and Vicky. Also a huge thank you to Joyce, see photos on her Facebook album which really capture the spirit of the event!

Addendum from Charlie, Sunday Dec 6th:  Thanks to Tricia for her post-trip writeup above, with congratulations for the fine job she did co-leading this event with me & Joyce yesterday evening.  She's well on her way to earning her official Trip Leader "star" and has already proven herself to be a valuable addition to our leadership team!
