It's a Gas, Gas, Gas! Some brave hikers, game for indulging in the silliness of jumping jacks on the trail (plus those who didn't read the event description) enjoyed an invigorating morning at Island Ford. We kept the pace fast. We completed 300 jumping jacks. And we took time to notice the clear blue sky, appreciate one another's company, and spot a red-headed woodpecker. We even participated in some bushwhacking through the swampy, mucky, thorny lowlands. For extra credit, we engaged our minds by counting the jacks forwards, backwards, fast, regular time, and in English, Spanish, German, and Japanese.
All in all, a fun hike with a terrific group, and a respectable workout.
