Thank you everyone who was able to make it out for the hike on Sunday at Kennesaw Mountain! We had a nice mild Sunday and while it rained a bit, we were mostly spared from a downpour. Our group of 10 hikers included a few relatively new faces - Courtney, Christy, and Eliott were all on their second event with the AOC and enjoying their first hike at Kennesaw mountain.
Ralph led our fast-paced hikers in the front of the pack while Ann and Erin stayed in the middle and back of the group. While the weather kept us from seeing too many sites from the top of Big Kennesaw, the hike was still very picturesque as we made our way up and over both Big and Little Kennesaw.
Part of the group had the opportunity to enjoy the more leisurely Camp Brumby Trail for the second half of the hike, while are faster group hiked through the up and over and up and over route. Either route took us through six miles of the park in about 2.5 hours and was a great way to end the weekend.
Thanks and have a wonderful week!
