Write Up:We had a fine time together birding in the lovely Alexander Lake section of the state park and with the help of Herm's nice spotting scope got nice views of about 20 bird species including mergansers, great blue herons, cardinals, redwinged blackbirds and many more. This may have been the only Audubon Society event in history which was "solely attended and led by Atlanta Outdoor Club members! Sadly Ranger Lieren, who had planned to lead the event, had to get the word to us that her car had broken down en route to the event. It was fun having brand new member Julie and her good friend Kim with us on their first AOC event. Hope to see much more of you in the future! - Submitted by Charlie, Sun at 6AM
