Five of us enjoyed a warm but pleasantly breezy evening at Island Ford. We ventured along the river, up over some hills, down and around the lollipop trail and back to the Visitor's Center before finishing with a loop around the lake for a total of about 5.4 miles. Along the way we spotted Canadian Geese and (we think) Cormorants in the river, a lovely Mallard duck couple in the lake and (in one hiker's case) some deer. All in all, a great way to spend a Wednesday after work!
