It was a lovely morning for a pleasantly paced hike through Sope Creek. We went 5 miles, taking in the cemetery, the ruins, and Sibley Pond. Sure signs of spring are appearing everywhere, including May Apples popping up along the trail. Bikers were out in good numbers today, but thankfully we were able to find several non-biking trails throughout the hike. We hiked through the official parking lot on our returned to Sope Creek Elementary School, where our cars were parked. It was full! We left 13 spaces available for others by starting at the school. And we saved parking fees! :-)
