What a day to celebrate! Most importantly, we celebrated Memorial Day by wearing (with one glaring exception) red, white and blue and sporting flags and star-studded bandanas. It was also the end of our second year of Thursday morning AOC hikes at Island Ford during which we piled up 100 weekly hikes! Mike C., Jeff, and Joyce were the three members who were on that very first Thursday morning hike - - and are still devoted participants. And finally, we honored Jeff once more for reaching his 300th AOC event. He did it on Tuesday, but it deserves another mention on this special hike. 

It was great to welcome a new AOC member - - Dan - - on his first Thursday morning Island Ford hike. He's a welcome addition to our dedicated group.
