I was bad! I failed to read the itinerary carefully and thought the hike started a half hour after it actually began. Trena took the group around the pond and then returned to the parking lot, where I was just arriving. Lesson learned . . . again!! (Thanks, Trena!) 

The group kindly posed for a group picture, and then we were off. Lots of interesting sightings on the hike - - turtles, a bullfrog, and a huge snake. It was great seeing Robin back, and nice to welcome a new AOC member, Jennifer. Another perfect hike!  ~  Joyce
