No slackers we! The group of 20 all showed up on time, ready to start promptly at 10:30. We hiked over 6 miles today . . . an admirable achievement given the high humidity and high temperatures (just short of the 90's). We took the challenge of the warm-up hill right away, and then took the long uphill trail to the lollipop trail. Along the way, we heard the squawking of geese on the river and saw a lazy black snake on the side of the trail. As usual, our shirts were drenched by the end of the hike - - a sure sign of a good workout. ~ Joyce
