This was defintely the start of a great day! It would appear that other people wanted to visit Blue Heron today, so there was a lot of excitement going on at the Preserve. With this in mind, our journey began at the Turtle Crossing, and we made our way around the park from a couple of directions to get some exercise. We saw several pieces of urban/folk art, a large turtle, numerous spiecies of plants, trees and flowers. There is always something to see at Blue Heron Preserve; and with a great group of hikers from the AOC,  it is always fun and interesting. Addtionally, we were joined by newcomers Lisa, Kwame, Dave K, Barbie, and Cindie C. So nice to meet you guys and welcome to the AOC! As always it is also wonderful to see so many returning hikers on Saturday morning. Thanks again for making this hike fun and interesting!
