We took an extra hike along the Visitor Center Loop and additionally hiked the Sweet Gum Trail, the Homestead Trail, and the White Tail Trail.  Melissa clocked our distance at over 8 miles this evening.  Despite the extra mileage, we finished the hike by 10 pm included two long stops by the lake to take in the night time views.  The evening air was very pleasant, and we all enjoyed our trek.  Our "earned" breakfast following the hike at the Cartersville IHop was delicious way to end the event! ~ Joyce
