This Monday morning (Beginners Welcome) hike is Trena's regular event which we held this morning in her honor (while she's competing in Arizona) and we did her proud. We had several members who were unfamiliar with East Palisades and they were absolutely delighted with the trails, the bamboo forest, views of the river, and the ducks, geese and heron. We tackled the BAH and were proud that everyone made it up and did it handily.

The group was rewarded with Trena's traditional summer treat - - frozen popsicles - - which (thanks to Trena instructions) I was able to keep frozen while we were on the trails! It was a great way to cool down after our challenging hike. ~ Joyce
