Lots of new faces on today's hike! Relatively new or brand new to the AOC were Andrea, Howard, Jing, Kym, Vanessa (Phoebe), and Zemin. Welcome to all of you! It's always great to introduce a beautiful trail to someone who hasn't hiked it. Most of the group will be surprised to see the picture of the noble buck that wasn't far off the trail. The group had passed it by, but Alicia caught sight of it and alerted me so that I could capture a picture.  

Today was possibly the coldest hiking day yet, but as always, after the first ascent, no one complained of being cold! Trena set our pace at a "healthy" moderate - - but everyone kept up beautifully, especially with occasional stops to view the creek and the dam and to cross over the huge pipe below the covered bridge.

Trena reminded everyone to register for the upcoming holiday social on December 11th! We're attending. Are YOU? ~  Joyce
