Tue, Feb 21 2017 - Leita Thompson Morning Hike (View Original Event Details)
|
We had a beautiful 60 degree temperature start for our weekly hike at Leita Thompson. Signs of spring abounded on the trail with many other walkers/hikers also enjoying this outstanding morning. We saw some of our usual hikers including 'Poodle Lady' (Steve always happy to see her on the trail).
There was a Bradford Pear tree almost fully in bloom near the dog park. Next week I am sure there will be even more buds and blooms.
Trish pushed at a very fast paced with barely a glance at the fauna and flora on the trail. We hiked somewhere between 6.5 and 7.0 (7.0 is per Dan). When the hike was over, 'Younger Jeff' proclaimed 'Great balls of Fire' that was a good hike. We will miss Steve next week (hint open spot on hike) as he heads to Colombia.
