The sun was shining as we started the hike but it soon went behind the clouds.  This did nothing to deter us as we hiked along the numerous hike and horse trails around Garland Mountain.  Some of the trails we covered, but not all, were the Dapple Gray (a relatively newer trail), Bay Brown and Red Chestnut.  We travered several streams, hiked a significant amount of elevation and enjoyed the comradery of all!  A special welcome to Jill who drove all the way from Milledgeville to join our group today.  After the hike, we had a great lunch at the pavillion with special treats from numerous of our hikers - St. Paddy Day cookies, brownies, chocolates, pasta salad, banana bread and more!  No one left hungry - that's for sure!  Thanks to all of you for joining us this morning:)   ~  Carol
