This is Spring in Atlanta and what a difference one week can make in the weather! Last week our group braved cool, breezy weather for our Leita hike. Today we were in short sleeves and shorts for temps above 70 degrees by noon. Some of us were feeling quite sluggish in the heat, but Tim D who joined us for the first time had no trouble with the 6 miles in 2 hours. Welcome Tim! Dan completed his 100th AOC hike accomplishing this in just 10 months...what a feat! He also treated himself to a new Miata hard top convertible which we checked out enviously leaving lots of sweaty fingerprints on its shiny new surface. Congratulations, Dan, on your 100th hike and that really cool car. Nine of us followed the hike with lunch at the FICKLE PICKLE - once again enjoying good food and great company. It was a beautiful day to be outdoors hiking with this congenial group. ~Jo V.
