What a great day for a hike and a most excellent group to share it with. We were able to explore the Marietta Paper Company paper and pulp mill ruins along both sides of Sope Creek.   We were amazed that these ruins, that were constructed in 1854 (and burned during the Civil War) are still standing.  

We were able to complete the 4 mile hike and ruin exploration in almost exactly 2 hours. While none of the hills we encountered were too steep or long, there were enough of them to get our hearts going.  Look forward to hiking with you all again.
