Another Hike - Another Celebration 🎉. Congrats to Shirley Nixon upon completing her 300th AOC event! And we were treated to the now infamous Joyce brownies upon completion of our hike. Humidity is climbing as is the heat index but that did little to deter this faithful group of Thursday morning Island Ford hikers! We continued our sizzling pace completing 6+ miles within the two hours. Numerous hikers went to the North River Tavern afterwards where several enjoyed the new special - the Chi-Cow Burger. Hamburger with a fried chicken tender, pepper jack cheese, bacon, grilled pineapple, and a special sauce. Did I leave anything out??
