We really lucked out today at Pickett's Mill - 10 hikers, couple sprinkles of rain - but so little that I don't think anybody even noticed, LOTS of mud and slippery conditions and about a trilliion mushrooms and the trip leader stopped to photograph every single one.  They were popping up all over the place.  I have limited the attached photo album to just a few of the best - Heather posing with the winner for largest mushroom - big ones, little ones, red, orange, yellow, brown, white and that really weird black one.   Some that looked like flowers, some that looked like mushrooms, some that looked alien.  And one strange little creature that tried to hitch a ride home with me - I think it was a moth but not quite sure. As a rule I hike rain or shine, weather reports promised rain for most of the day but when I awoke this morning and checked my weather app there was a clear window precisely at our hike time.  Thanks to all that joined me.  - Diana
