Today's hike at Leita Thompson took place in what might be called a "rain-bubble sandwich."  We had five minutes of rain when we started, and ten more minutes at the end, but the time between was what we've become accustomed to - - a pleasant, rain-free hike. We all had our rain jackets with us which were on, then off, then on again as we briskly covered the trails we have come to know so well.  

We delighted to the stories that Cathy K. told about her recent safari adventure in Africa and the tales Jeff G.related of his bike ride on the Camino and his side trips to Barcelona and Madrid.  It's great to have them both back safely.

Lunch at the Fickle Pickle was a welcome end to our morning.  Eight of us warmed up with soup and sandwiches as the rain poured down outside.  The rain bubble wasn't perfect today, but it gave us all it had. ~ Joyce
