There are definite benefits to being a sweeper and the biggest benefit is that you don't have to know where you are going - you just follow the pack!  Joyce took us throughout East Palisades this morning somehow covering 6 miles and 1000 feet of elevation without going up the BAH or visiting the bamboo forest.  Several us were totally clueless as to where we were but it didn't matter.  The trails we took were challenging as well as beautiful.  The humidity has kicked up a notch or two but we maintained  a nice steady pace ensuring that all had plenty of hydration throughout.  Be on the lookout for snakes - we saw our first copperhead today!  Just another sign that summer is here:)   Thanks to you all for joining  us on this gorgeous Saturday morning! And a hearty congraulations to DaveO on his 400th AOC event!  -  Carol
