Jones Bridge was a new location for our Monday morning Beginners Welcome hike - - and we've gotten some very favorable feedback on the location. Although there was a little mud on the river trail, participants were pre-warned and had proper shoes and poles to facilitate our hike. No one fell and we had no injuries.

Thanks to frequent trail-guidance from members who were familiar with the trails, we efficiently made our way along the river through the woods to the pond - - then back to the river. Along the way we spotted some deer and an adorable little spotted fawn that we obviously spooked, because he got up and ran through the woods before I could get a shot with my camera.

We welcomed a brand new member, Jennifer, who will hopefully become a regular over the summer on our Beginners Welcome hikes. And it was great to welcome back Adrienne, a familiar, friendly face to many of us. ~ Joyce
