Excellent therapy! Today's hike was just what the doctor ordered - - a fine group of participants, coolish weather, low humidity, and bright sunshine. We clocked in over 5 miles, with constant conversation throughout the group. For me, as a trip leader, I truly enjoy hearing the sound of happy, energetic voices behind me. Even if no one is next to me to talk with, it warms me to know that these folks have become great friends who hike not only for the exercise, but to stay in touch with each other.

On Saturday, Gloria will have reached 200 AOC events, so we honored her achievement before setting off. We were also delighted to welcome back Steve S. who hasn't been with us for many months.

Susan F. will be anxious to know who was first up the warm-up hill in her absence. For the first time, Larry and Bob got to the top first. They were mighty proud of themselves. ~ Joyce
