When the Olympics introduce acorn skating, we have a couple of ringers.  Beautiful weather today for our figure eight hike at Sawnee Mountain.  With an over abundance of acorns making the trail hazardous, we cut the trip a bit short and made it a figure 6 instead. We hiked just over 5 miles and gained 900 feet in elevation but the acorns were the talk of the day.  Thank you to Connie, Alex, Linda, Gary, Ron, Jason, Kari, Sarah, Bonnie, Youri, Marina, and Jeff for making today's event fun and memorable.  A special thank you to Joyce for agreeing to Co-lead this event with me!  See you on the trails! ~ Jim
