We had a great group of ten hikers on a gorgeous Sunday morning at Sope Creek. A special welcome to Scott, who was joining us on only his second AOC event! Everyone did a great job both hiking and avoiding the many mountain bikers we encountered along the way. 

Thankfully temperatures and humidity were both reasonable and we even enjoyed a nice breeze for part of the way. Although we didn't get to encounter any wildlife, it was clear from the falling leaves that autumn has definitely arrived. Hopefully our weather will reflect it sooner rather than later as well.

Overall we got in approx. 5.5 miles of hiking in our two hours (fitbits/phone apps all disagreed on an exact distance, as usual, so this was our agreed-upon total). All in all it was a wonderful way to start the day!
