What an excellent day for a hike. The temps were in the low 60’s with low humidity. There was a terrible accident on GA 400 this morning which made the commute for many difficult. As a result, we changed our route some - went around the pond and back to the parking lot where we picked up Ellie and Steve and than meandered around the trails throughout the lower part of Island Ford where we picked up Bob! So after it was all said and done, we went at a nice brisk pace but didn’t manage to get our six miles in. Would like to welcome Nooshin to our hike - she did a great job of keeping up. Twelve hikers continued the event by heading over to North River Tavern. See you next Thursday! ~ Carol
