Sun, Oct 15 2017 - Georgia Fall Hike: Brasstown Bald - 360 Degree Foliage View + Option (View Original Event Details)
|
We were happy to have another good day of hiking in the mountains. As Jeff said at some point on the trail "..having the green rolling hills as far as the eyes can see, and be able to get there within 1 -2 hours drive from the city, is the biggest treasure we have!".
We sweated good bit the first part of the hike going steeply up the hill, then on the ridge we enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful views when the clouds would part and the sunshine was coming thru. At the top we didn't get clear sky and 360 view as we hoped for, nevertheless it was good to be there and have tasty lunch. After the hike most of us stopped for dinner at Irish Pub in Dahlonega and chocolate candy treat afterwords.
Great group of AOC hikers and day filled with laughter and fun!
