Today's hike was held in honor of Bill C. whose shoulder injury is keeping him off any trails that might cause a fall. However, we all soon learned that Bill's bad shoulder doesn't stop him from keeping a fast - - VERY fast - - pace on flat surfaces such as the one at Noonday Creek! Thanks to Bill's up-front pace, this "beginner's welcome" hike ended up at about 6 miles in just over 2 hours - - including a refreshment stop at the Town Center Mall! Of course, Trena assessed the small group and knew that we could all manage the speed.

They're making improvements to the trailhead, and are in the process of building a bathroom, adding lighting, and installing landscaping in the area. Plus, with a credit card, bicycles can be rented ar the parking lot. 

We wish Trena a safe, successful 100 mile run this coming weekend!   ~  Joyce
