Thirteen vets trusted the rain bubble to join us on the little used 24-Gun Trail at Kennesaw Mountain, and indeed, the bubble held. Though it was humid, not a drop of rain fell during our 5-mile trek. Doug-the-destroyer obliterated one of several huge ant piles beside the trail (see photo), but otherwise, it was a most sociable, peaceful hike. ~ Joyce
