Well, the weather never ceases to amaze us.  Hikers showed up in all types of attire but fortunately, they left their layers in their car.  Before we even got to the warm-up hill, we had warmed up.  Temps were in the high 60's with significant humidity present.  Lee B. showed up late so in her honor (and much to everyone else's distress) we did the warm up hill a second time round.  Susan F. had to run today to make it up the hill first - she's getting some very stiff competition these days:)  Would like to welcome Vera to her first Island Ford Hike - she had no problems whatsoever staying with the group.  Would also like to welcome back Lisa S. - hadn't seen her in quite a while!  We have picked up the pace and am not having any straglers.  Good luck to Bob as he has some surgery coming up next week.  Twelve hikers made their way to North River Tavern today with Michael M. making a "guest" appearance!  See you next week:) ~ Carol
