This is a very nice park.  The conditions were very windy but once we traversed the open water the wind was no longer an issue.  The leaves were changing in this part of GA and the paddle was very easy up stream.

We meandered over water lillies and past many downed trees with turtles bathing in the sun.  The walking trail had a few overlooks along our route.  Not many people were at this park, which was a bit surprising to us all.

We paddled to the bridge, ate a snack and returned to the boat ramp.

Of note, the "paddle in" camp site is less than 100 yards from the boat ramp.
