Sat, Nov 4 2017 - Treks and the City - Oakland Cemetery, MLK Center, Krog Street Market, Cabbagetown (View Original Event Details)
|
It's a great day for an urban hike in the city. Fifteen members came out to enjoy the morning.
We met
at the Cemetery and trekked around there
for a while before heading to the MLK
Center. The center is currently being
renovated, so we didn't get to explore
much of it. We then trekked on to the
Jackson
Street Bridge, where this group photo was
taken.
Then we trekked along Highland to hop on the Beltline to make our way to Krog street Market for a break. And then we trekked along Krog Street, thru the tunnel, to Cabbagetown, where it turned out that the Chomp and Stomp chili festival was underway.
After the hike, we said bye to a few people at Six Feet Under, where the rest of us enjoyed a nice lunch and the weather on the upstairs patio.
