To paraphase Mikey, Another Beautiful Day in Paradise:)  Low humidity, nice breeze and temps in the high 50's with the sun shining met us at Island Ford - we could not have asked for a better day.  We started at the upper parking lot and made short work of the lollipop trail.  Then we hiked a loop around the main part of Island Ford and back to the upper parking lot.  Some hikers decided to bail out at this point but as we had a half hour to go, Joyce led up down Roberts Rd. towards the old ruins!  This was a first  for a lot of the hikers so a great time was had by all.  We want to welcome Martha back from her summer up North and a big welcome to Anna - her second hike with the AOC! ~ Carol
