We had a lot of withdrawals from this morning's hike (many feared the snowy trails), but we had a large group of veteran members remain who knew to wear their waterproof boots and to bring their poles -- so our hike was completely free of slips and injuries. We kept the pace safe as we enjoyed the crunch of snow and ice under our feet.  

We hiked to the old jalopy and then retraced our path back to the inner trails, avoiding the "technical" rock trail by the Bull Sluice Lake area. 

This hike will be one for the memory books. It's not often that we get pictures of snow and iced over bridges during out local hikes. ~ Joyce
