Another cold, frosty day - we started our hike by taking a tour around the “frozen” pond!! We continued through the hard trails (that is hard as in the trails were hard because of the cold) of Island Ford and stopping only once to make some clothing adjustments. Some of us had dressed too warmly and as the pace picked up, we started getting rid of some of those outer layers. We celebrated Shirley’s 400th hike with the AOC. Congrats and hats off to Shirley!! About 8 of us went to North River Tavern where Linda H. met up with us to celebrate Shirley’s accomplishment. ~ Carol
